LOVE*

For Lisa Christ’s acclaimed stage programme LOVE, we crafted a visual identity that mirrors the complexity and contradictions of contemporary love. Lisa, a Swiss spoken word artist and satirist, delves into the intricacies of modern relationships, questioning societal norms and the commodification of affection in a capitalist society.

To encapsulate the multifaceted nature of love, we collaborated with Lisa in a day-long reportage-style photoshoot, capturing a spectrum of emotions and expressions. These images were framed within a heart-shaped container, intentionally evoking the kitsch aesthetic of classic love-themed designs, thereby juxtaposing sincerity with irony.

Departing from conventional promotional tools, we introduced a mobile phone number as the central call-to-action across all media. Callers were greeted by Lisa’s voice, offering insights into her programme and upcoming performances, fostering a direct and personal connection with her audience. This identity system, characterised by its bold imagery and unconventional engagement strategy, reflects the provocative and introspective essence of LOVE, aligning with Lisa’s reputation for challenging societal conventions through her art.
