For Swiss Post's 175th anniversary, we were invited by Jung von Matt Brand Identity to reimagine the company's logo. This project sought to merge Swiss Post's long-standing history with its future-focused vision.
The new design is an evolution of the iconic PTT logo created by Adrian Frutiger in 1982. By reinterpreting the key elements of Frutiger's design, we've crafted a logo that combines the boldness of the original with a more contemporary, streamlined aesthetic. The result is a symbol that captures the enduring legacy of Swiss Post whilst embracing the future with simplicity and clarity.
The updated logo features a stylised red Swiss cross and a bold "P" set against the distinctive post-yellow background. This updated emblem replaces the older language-specific versions, providing a unifying identity for all of Switzerland's linguistic regions. Its digital optimisation ensures adaptability across a wide range of applications, from traditional print to modern digital platforms.
Through this redesign, we've created a logo that reflects Swiss Post's legacy as a foundational institution in Switzerland, whilst positioning it for the future of a connected, dynamic world.
